im gonna talk about God today!

HAPPY SUNDAY

I generally am not a perkey happy person..

yeah thats a lie.

I am ALWAYS DANCING AROUND HAPPY AND CHEERFUL

however this week i was not. I was very sick and in pain and unhappy. Dancing and jumping and spreading any kind of cheer was not on my To Do list…. TRYING NOT TO DIE was the only goal i had all week.

So last night when i was finally feeling back to my own self i made a commitiment that today i would do it up right!

I dont want to get carried away when i say this… i was not all the way back to Amelia but i was atleast Amel_ _

So when the alarm went off AT 5:30 i was so not ready to get up and go to work…. however i did… cuz i have not worked since Tuesday. Which seems awesome…but i would have rather been working at CUSTOMER SERVICE then sick like i was…

SO when i got to work I made it a goal to be happy and make sure i said “Good morning” to everyone i cou ld.

…and heres what i got (oh yeah… i kept score):

3 men from NJ said “no its not a good morning its a $h!t morning because YOU PEOPLE did not bring me my paper”

2 women from WI said “And i hope yours is blessed!” i said i think it is actually

1 women said i needed to get to church because i was sinful to work on Sunday…. WELL IF I WASN’T WORKING LADY WHO IS GONNA LISTEN TO YOU WHINE!?

and after i finished helping one women she asked me if i was from FL because if i was close to her church she would be happy for me to go with her tonight…

HOW SWEET WAS THAT? sadly i live in rainy Kentucky I told her but if i was there i would totally go to church with her tonight!

and that makes me thankful for the happy people of the world. Cuz if i can talk to just a few a day its worth it. Id like for the people who yell at me to stop calling but i know its not about me and they have bigger issues that i cannot fix with a 5 minute call about missing/stole/wet/or thin newspapers. I know their issues are something they have been dealing with for a long time… cuz people cant get that mad at someone they dont know unless they have other troubles…so what i want to say to them is as follows:

this song is called “Lay ‘em Down” by NeedToBreath and yes its a Christian band… itunes has the whole album and i recommend it highly.

When i think about it love is never easy…

when i think about it i wish i didnt have wear contacts…

when i think about it i see that the world is a hard place but i couldnt be happier that i am a part of it…

when i think about it i know God has a plan for me….

when i think about it Gods plan must be somthing very spicific becasue i am sure taking a long time to find the path…

i think a lot

when i think about it i want happiness to all my friends and want them all to find their happily ever after…

when i think about it my happily ever after is going to be something wonderful…

when i think about it i wish people would stop to think about what they do before they do it…

when i think about it i have a hard time not attacking every closed minded bigot every time i see them..

when i think about it i am sad to think of all the children out there that need homes…

when i think about it i still really love our president…

and what i think about the most is how thankful i am for an amazing family who love me unconditionally (and ive tested that a few times im sure) –roof, food, the worlds greatest friends, and a job

so i have a new job that i normally feel like crying about at the end of the day….

but not today…ironically a monday!

heres why

it makes me laugh that when you offer someone a lower price and they say NO i want to stay with what i am doing..whats the matter with you/?

2 people today told me “god bless you sweetheart” adn i liked that

i get to talk to people that live in a place called “Oshcosh” and i never ever thought that was a real place.

today i learned from my friend LaRod that the kid who plays Ron Weasley in Harry Potter had to go to the hospital for the SWINE FLU can you believe that…. dont worry america…. hes fine…

i have a friend names LaRod and my supervisor actually called him “dowlrod” for the first week we worked there…. and not as a joke… she thought that was his name ,,,, dowl rod…… liiiiiiiikkkkkeee??? say what???

best part of the day though was on my lunch i walked down to Theater Square and ate a Falafel in a wooonderful place…. that might be my new monday thing to do!

Ok so latley i have been a little more on edge then i like becasue at work i have to be super nice….

to update you i have switched jobs and now work as a CSR for Gannett and if they are reading this….GET A LIFE.

im not on my work comp so they shouldnt be… damn big brother

so this mornign when i am on my way from the bremners after a sleep over i stop in at mcdonalds to get a coffee. And when i am (please note this is IMPORTANT TO THE STORY) standing DIRECTELY NEXT TO THE CASH REGISTER IN LINE. a women comes and cuts infront of me… square dance style. like… steps IN FRONT OF ME AND ORDERS. Oh… i was MAD. i do not deal well with adults who ARE SO COMPLETELY WRAPPED UP IN THEM THAT THEY CANT SEE THE PERSON IN FRONT OF THEM.

if she was not aware i was in line what should she have said? THATS RIGHT GIRLS AND BOYS SHE HAD 2 options:

“Excuse me are you in line?”

or b

“Have you ordered already”

WHAT THE HELL! oh i know i sound crazy right now but it really gets to me that she just thought i didnt matter! what is that? how self centered must you be.??

so THEN:

after the hockey check of a cut i literally just said “are you kidding me? did that just happen?”

and switched to the next line over cuz i was worried i would haul off and clock this women when she turned around…. so ….

SHE DOES NOT TURN AROUND TILL AFTER SHE HAS ORDERED….

and she says “oh i am sorry HUN! I just didn’t even see you there in line” THIS WAS NOT AN OLD WOMEN… had it been a women who might have a legitimate reason NOT TO SEE ME i would have said oh don’t worry about it. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT SHE SAID AFTER??

“you were just standing there so i figured i could just get in front of you”

WHAT I SAID WAS “whatever”

AND WHAT I WANTED TO SAY WAS “what on earth is the matter with you? if someone is standing in line not jumpin around and making a scene you just cut in front of them? there is a big padded room in a nice place with good drugs for you lady”

but i stuck with my whatever

AND THEN SHE SAID “Well if i didnt have to go to work i would not have done it”

EXCUSE ME???????! lady leave before someone drops a house on you~!

this craaaazy women thinking she is the only person in the world with a job. and for that i hate her. and wont be going back in that McDonald’s ever for fear that she might be there and i will have to kill her so that I CAN THIN THE PACK.

ohhhhhhhhh my gosh.
here is the low down folks….

many people are taught that as christians you are not to:
1) drink
2) gamble

cuz it says so in the bible.
MMYYYY RESPONSE
-NO WHERE is it addressed that you are not to gamble… no where… what it talks about is to be cautious about the love of money… its in timothy somewhere
-drinking is only talked about when it is referring to drinking in excess. Isaiah 5:11 (NIV i think) Woe to those who rise early in the morning
to run after their drinks,
who stay up late at night
till they are inflamed with wine.
or
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. that is in Ephesians
anyway…
what is this teaching us class?? it is teaching us to NOT GET DRUNK… (please note… i am a sinner from time to time when it comes to this…and ill be the first to admit that)

oddly i had to look these up…because as a christian we never learn where God “OKAYS” drinking …we only hear about the sinful nature of the act. (please note i am writing this and drinking a glass of white wine)

ok so with those things said… please note… i (at age 25) support the drinking age because i believe people need to be adults as far as their body goes to process that… had you asked me in high school or college i would have been the one holding hte sign that said “if we can go to war we can drink a beer” but …. you live and learn….

gambling i dont to to excess ever… i did win 40 something dollars on opening day at churchill downs which i used to buy my ticket to derby… where i lost lots of money… so … who knows.

anyway…its just something to think about… if you dont like it or agree with me. ,,, GOOD! tell me why… i like people who can have FREE SPEECH! thats what A-M-E-R-I-C-A is all about….

Jason and i had a great day yesterday . the weather was perfect for a while and so we went to starbucks where I studied and enjoyed the day with my best friend and he worked on planning out his week.
it was fun for what like 4 hours we were there. we then decided to go to henrys arc a petting zoo that used to be quite amazing and well kept but now it’s a bit run down since henry died. buuuuuut I GOT TO SEE BABY OSTRICHS!!!! cuuuuuteeeee!!!!! dairy queen followed that so de we still had time to kill before church. so I decided to poll Jason and one of my questions was:

grass
or
tree?
I would be a blade of grass so I could be a part of something bigger and more important without being the focus. also I would be grass so that I would be able to comfort people.

I like to take polls from time to time to get to know the friend and also…. It a fun to talk about.

Ok here is the thing. I write plays, i used to be an actress… and not to toot my own horn but i was not too shabby as one… i got a full college scholarship for it. and i miss that. but what i miss the most about college….

DATING

how different is it post college….. TOTALLY DIFFERENT….

that does not however change my need for … we will call it passion… and i miss that. I miss kissing and snuggling and being around someone all the time that wants to be with me just as much. FRIENDS ARE GREAT…. please dont let this make you think that i dont like having my friends…. but I CANT MAKE OUT WITH MY FRIENDS…. well i could but only if it was under REALLY extravagantly different situations. …. and i dont quite have that….lol

so what i am saying is that its REALLY hard to meet someone… i instantly am peoples friends and i love that but GUYS…. COME ONE…. i have boobs… i am a girl…i sure dont look like a guy… why am i always the friend….

in no particular order

1) Egypt with Mim

2) spend 3 months in Africa with AIDS victums

3) Go to the Red Wood Forest and get a pine cone to make into an angel for the top of my christmas tree

4) be an Actress again…even if its just one night…. cuz i feel like there is a void inside where an actress used to live.

5) have a child (2 if the first one is REALLY good)

6) spend the rest of my life with someone who can love me just the way I am

7) write a song and sing it for an audience (that is not just my friends and family)

8 ) never have a seizure again… 5 years and counting

9) visit the Florida Everglades and pet an alligator

10) hand sew a quilt…. its a lost art….and then give it to a homeless shelter

10.5) learn to crochet

11) hug Barack Obama

12) see a whale in the wild

12) scuba dive

13) live one year in a country where i don’t know the language.

my mind wondered

I have been on cold medicine lately so i have had a lot of “Mind wondering”time. Today as i watched the wonderful bremners play i let my mind wonder around and think about the children in David kentucky i will get to see this summer who are so wonderful. Some of the children i hav eknown since before they were born! One family i know so well i have been to their childerns baptism and another family i almost had to go to court for them. i cant wait to go back this summer….

another thing my mind wondered to when i was sitting in church this evening (whist i should have been focusing on Debbie’s sermon..) i wondered if i would ever get married. if it would be at my church here, then if it was someone i knew or someone i had yet to meet. then i wondered if we would have children… AND right at that moment like a bolt of lightening i stopped thinking about that….at this point i dont want a boyfriend so a husband really seems irrational.

lastly my mind is constantly wondering about germany… and paris…. beer, fairy tales, skirts, hearts, cheese, men, nazism, eifel tower, tour de france, live strong, driving on the wrong side of the road, outsets, chocolate, champagene, stars, smokes, taxis, pigeons, hang nails, disease, hot french men, sex, deoderant, air planes, backpacks, pasports, theves, endless book reading, endless hiking, endless chatting, libby, new friends, new memories….

lastly…

no money but no worries because no one willbe able to take away my memories!
